used to maintain this green oasis in the midst of the very dry dessert that
surrounds Mubarek City.

IOI 2008 in Egypt
Date & Time in Cairo, Egypt:
Hello and welcome! I am travelling with the Canadian computing team that will particiapate in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which takes place in August in Cairo, Egypt.
I will be posting pictures and comments from this event, if possible in real time from my Blackberry. I hope to convey some of the spirit of this world-class computing competition which features outstanding high school students from about 80 different countries.
As well, the event will feature exciting outings to a variety of locations throughout historic Egypt, including the Pyramids, Nile River and the Mediterranean Sea. I will post photos from these scenic locations as time permits.
In 2010, the IOI will take place for the first time ever in Canada, at the University of Waterloo.
